The role of Parts Clerk
The Parts Clerk will be responsible for serving external and internal customers in connection with all parts-related matters. This person will work closely with the parts manager, buyer and service coordinator to ensure high-quality customer service. This position provides the opportunity to develop technical expertise in a field halfway between mechanics, plumbing and electricity, while contributing to other projects for the success of the organization.The Parts Clerk Role
In addition, the parts clerk will :
- Identify customers' needs at the counter and serve them for the purchase of parts;
- Advise customers on the phone and by e-mail for the purchase of parts;
- Prepare parts for roadside technicians and installation projects;
- Contribute to placing parts orders and to efficient inventory management;
- Ensure the receipt of goods in the warehouse as well as in our computer system;
- Invoice and ship customer orders in a timely manner;
- Perform other related tasks according to interest and organizational needs.
Profile required
- College diploma or post-secondary education;
- 1 to 3 years' experience in a field related to mechanics, plumbing, electricity or customer service;
- Interest in developing technical expertise;
- Excellent observation and customer service skills;
- Willingness to work as part of a team to achieve objectives;
- Taste for a job well done and for surpassing oneself.
